My kitchen and living room are "open plan" and I have a brief bar area that I walk past on my way to bed each night. Great place to add that streak of light. I took some time to make sure it was plugged in and plugged it in. I synced it through the SmartLife app - and for those new to smart, you'll need to change your network from 5G to 2G. Pairing with smart items like plugs and lightbulbs ONLY syncs on 2G. So if you're having trouble, check your phone to make sure you're still on the 5G network. Never syncs with 5G! Anyway, I synced that as well as Alexa so I could make changes (color, turn on, turn off, create routines, etc.). It looks perfect lit up under the counter and makes it easy for me to walk from the living room through the kitchen to my bedroom. I love smart things and it's so cool to be able to control them by voice through Alexa! Because it's a shorter strip, it works well on a kitchen island or something similar, for example. This is a great strip to start or expand your smart home.
