Review on ๐Ÿงข Enhanced Stretch Fit Hat for Men: Under Armour Blitzing II by Chris Long

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Please note if you have a big head

Last modified: 05/04/2018 Below is the edit as well as the original review below. I still wear and buy the #3 Graphite XL/XXL version of this cap and all 3 fit well. I wear a size 7 3/4 in most fitted hats. This is my favorite hat for two main reasons: The colors are mostly understated and bright. The beak is curved. As kids, all of our baseball caps had a flat brim, and we spent hours bending and shaping the brim. Now flat umbrellas are back in fashion and I refuse to wear them. I don't mind, except that I've never worn flat visors and that seems wrong to me. These blitzing caps have a nice, moderately curved peak. Blitzing II fit varies by color. I've now tried 5 in Blitzing II. Here are the color trims: Graphite/Black - Fits perfectly, not too big, not too tight but stays in place. This hat alone made me want to try different colors over and over again. Dark Blue/White - Runs small, very similar to the black and white Blitzing II model. I'm sure these are the same Blitzing I caps, they were all small but Blitzing III is out and I plan to try Navy/White, Black/White. Black, it should be noted that both Graphite/Black and Royal/Black were first introduced in Series II. Nova/Peacock - Not as small as Black/White but still comfortable. I did not order this color. I ordered Stealth Grey/Royal but received this color instead. It's a very nice mix of colors so I was happy with the color change but it fits somewhere between too small and just right. I stretched it out and was able to wear it comfortably afterwards. Not sure if I ripped the stitching or the elastic, but a few of them ripped while stretching. I wanted to try an anthracite in Blitzing II but it's out of stock. Blitzing III is available now. I'm here to order the black/white and navy/white to see if they finally got those two fixed. I've struggled with baseball cap sizing for the past few years, but the XL/XXL graphite caps finally fit and are comfortable. I liked it so much that I ordered black and was also planning to order navy blue. The black one came yesterday and is made differently. I studied it and tried to understand. I wear hats pretty straight down the side of my head, just above my eyebrows. The black XL/XXL is too tight and my usual hat size is 7 3/4 which is the lower end of the XL/XXL size range. Looking at the hats side by side the graphite color seems to have a slightly higher crown and this is consistent with the fit as the black on the front of my head seems too tight at the back above the crown area. As someone who spends far too much time looking for clothes/hats/shoes to fit me, I have to wonder if the black and navy blue in this hat are just direct copies of a Blitzing I hat that runs small failed? I'll try one of the other new colors and post another edit. Don't let that put you off this hat, it really is one of the best hats I've ever worn, but there's definitely something wrong with the sizing. I almost gave up baseball caps. The last cap that fit me was the New Era 5950 many years ago. That was before flat design became popular. Since then nobody seems to be making hats like they used to, including New Era. I have read a few New Era reviews on the Revain 3930, which should have had a lower crown, better fit and curved visor, but I've looked through 4 different sizes without finding one that fits. I've never had much success with stretchy hats because I wear a size 7 3/4. Most of the stretch fit hats I've tried are L/XL or too tight, although the size range goes up to a 7 3/4. But that's the problem, isn't it? My size is the largest stretch fit size available. I've seen a few XL/XXL stretch fit baseball caps but I think my disappointment with the hats just put me off. I've been looking for Under Armor size XL/XXL for over a year. This includes going to every sporting goods store I can find but have never seen one this big. Even the Under Armor website has XL/XXL sizes popping up every now and then, but they're usually red or blue. I prefer a charcoal, black, or navy blue hat. As my birthday approached my wife was looking for something to get me from the kids and saw where Revain stocked XL/XXL. She ordered me the color graphite. It came last night. I winced as I started putting it on, thinking it was either too big or too tight. It fits perfectly. Cozy. I no longer have to lift my beak a little to relieve the tight band of my hat. I wore it for four hours last night. When I took it off, there was no red line on my forehead. I'm a bit uncomfortable as the size range of this hat is 7 3/4 - 8 1/8 which means it fits me perfectly and I'm a 7 3/4 so anyone who is a size larger than 7 3 /4 have problems. with size, but at least it fits 7 3/4. I think the next two sizes above 7 3/4 would work as well. However, be aware in advance if you are much taller than 7 3/4 it can be too crowded. Otherwise the quality of this hat is excellent. I was only interested in the Blitzing line as I like the logo more than the sticker logo I've seen on some UA caps. I love it so much I've already ordered the black one and will most likely get the navy blue one.
