I purchased this mug primarily because of its beauty and for its being lead free. However, the weight of this mug, and the sharpness of the handle, makes it too heavy and difficult to use (especially with one hand). Regardless of what I like about this product, I find it quite disappointing that I am not using it often. Also, I understand that it is not for use with HOT liquids, only warm or cold. The main reason for my using this mug was for hot tea. That being, I use it only for cold water. (Due to my concern tnat heat may loosen the glue holding the handle in place)
