It was a great find. I had a small gap between my wooden table and the wall that was gathering dust. When I saw this narrow storage tower I was so excited. Not only does it fit in the footprint, but it's the same height as my desk, so it actually creates more usable desk space. I was determined to assemble everything myself, and I did, but it would have been easier if another pair of hands held the frame while I inserted the support rods and screws underneath. One of the drawers is completely filled with small study guides/books, the height of which matches the size of the drawer and the weight is not an issue at all. I'm reorganizing my office space, so this storage tower has been ripped out of place several times. I only pull out the top drawer to keep it nice inside. It's strong enough for all those movements and the drawers slide in and out very smoothly. Overall I think this is a well thought out design that can handle anything that is asked of it. That it looks so beautiful is like icing on the cake. much better than plastic boxes on wheels, which I saw as the only option.
