I was aware of how easy it is to set up a cable tuner like this to work with Windows Media Center and current versions of Windows. It took some serious web searching to figure out how to do this, and the tech charter, which insisted on sending "help" with the install, was a little clueless. It took him quite a while to realize that we had to move the cable. Signal THROUGH the little adapter box that Charter sent along, and his first tech support guys even tried to tell him that this tuner couldn't work with the Charter system (although they showed the possibility of cable card tuners). when they switched the local system to full digital a few years ago). at the END of this process came a screen that gave us the numbers we needed to get the tuner into the charter system. Since then, everything has worked very well (although the "manual” can be quite slow to load the first time you bring it forward every day). I can watch all premium paid channels and use my computer as a DVR to record movies from the premium channels for later playback. I can't do "video on demand," but I knew it was going to happen. Overall I like how it works with my PC.
