You get what you pay for.
At that price I should have known what I was getting. It does the work for what I needed it for, which is our homeschooling books. The nails holding the back are too small so I used our own larger ones. DO NOT put it on the carpet if you have children, otherwise it will tip over. I need a flat surface. There aren't any clear instructions on how to attach it to the long thin piece coming from the bottom, so once assembled I just tucked it under the shelf. As I said, it works for what I need it for, but if you have the money, buy something stronger. It took me about 35 minutes to assemble.
