These speakers only span one monitor, the cables connecting them are not long enough to fit at each end of two monitors. are on and the lights come on so I have to unplug them every time. I assume it will be the same situation for desktop? When I plug them in, they automatically turn on at maximum volume. Which is annoying and I have to press the (-) button about 6 times and try to do it as fast as I don't annoy my roommates and hurt my ears. Sometimes the sound cuts out when I plug them in. don't work so I have to disconnect and reconnect for them to work. I'm not sure if this is due to the speakers, it could be my laptop or software that the speakers aren't working properly.
