I bought two portable game consoles, one for each of my older children. They are 4 and almost 5 years old. My daughter is over two and this was for her. I was close for her as it's blue and she's very girly but she liked the colors. I was afraid the games might be too advanced, but she's in love with this thing. We have to set the timer to 30 minutes or she'll play it all day! I paid 13€ for it and it's worth every penny! It's not too thick and fits my daughter's hands perfectly. Your brother even prefers it to the slightly thicker one I bought him. I'd say the only "downside" if you want to name it, is that it's battery powered. It doesn't bother me, but if you plan on using it on the go or whatever, bring some extra batteries. Another small console I bought is rechargeable.
