It's scary how good it has become

I have one of those cheap blue ones that only works for 125kHz EM4100, I decided to try this one. Be careful, this thing can read and decode a range of frequencies. but can not all WRITE (according to the description). I had a system key fob that I knew had to be 24-bit to 36-bit Wiegand. I came to this conclusion by looking at the model number of the reader on the door and going to the manufacturer's website (laughs!). Then I looked at the key fob: it had a five-digit number printed on it. I thought what the heck: I'll order this and try it out. BAM: he read the keychain: ok. I tried WRITE to one of the Manta keychains to turn it on. Not good. I decided it was the wrong protocol, so I tried the keychain from the second pack with different keychains provided: it worked! Then I tried to write to one of the cards that came with it. That worked too! The card (and fob) works BETTER on the PDK touch.io security door scanner than the original security company fob (clean install). Instead of one crappy key fob that I had to scan 5 or 6 times to open the door, I can now craft 20 key fobs and cards that work on the first scan! If you're connecting to a computer to decrypt partially secure key fobs: do what other reviewers said: connect to a computer via USB and don't touch anything. This device. The software needs to be on the device and it behaves like a hard drive (with the software on it) until you press any button on the device. Click OK, click Read, and then click Write. Very easy.
