If you have a Harmony 1000, this is a very good way to get the most out of its many features. It works very well if you follow the sometimes complicated instructions with the Harmony 1000. I haven't yet determined if it's the extension cord or a remote control fault, but there are times when using the remote control that my Tivo and DirecTV PVR are getting incorrect or multiple signals. In other words, it's as if you pressed the function key two or three times. If you want to control your TV and the TV's infrared port is clearly visible, you also need to find a way to hide the cable that goes to the extension cord, or it's just hanging ugly from the front of the TV. . (I was able to do this by tucking the cord under my TV's black frame and using black electrical tape.) Maybe a nitpick, but just something to know. In general, everything is fine so far.
