Review on πŸ‰ Dragon Touch Z1 Mini Projector: 150 ANSI Lumen, 1080P DLP Portable Projector with Android 7.1 OS for Home Theater Movie Experience by Randy Salgado

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Small, portable, with built-in battery and feature-packed with crisp, bright images

The Dragon Touch Z1 mini projector is ready to go right out of the box. It is fully portable, small and compact, and has a 8000mAh battery. I decided to open it up and try it right away with no instructions. The projector comes with a remote control, tripod, power adapter and HDMI cable. I attached a mini tripod to the projector and, without plugging in the AC adapter, pressed the power button and it booted up to the home screen. The included tripod is very useful. It is stable and serves its purpose. I was a little disappointed that the remote control didn't have 2 AAA batteries, but since the top of the projector is a touchpad I wanted to try that. I connected an HDMI cable to the projector and connected it to my cable box. The touchpad had a bit of a learning curve, mostly because I wanted to see the mouse pointer. I went to the HDMI app, touched it and was surprised at how responsive and fast it displayed my source. This projector was easy to set up despite being packed with features including: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, screen mirroring, Apple AirPlay, 2 USB ports, Micro SD port, Google Play Store and preloaded apps like YouTube, Netflix and Chrome -browser. I decided to try the remote and found some spare AAA batteries. Distant works pointed to the projector in front or behind. The remote control can fully navigate through the menu and connect devices. I have connected various sources and devices to the projector, e.g. B. a phone, a USB stick, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and all connected without any problems. I even used a Logitech Wireless Touch K400 with a USB receiver and it connected instantly so I could use it as a keyboard/touchpad. If you don't have one of those, a home screen app called eshare lets your smartphone act as a remote control or mouse, among many other cool features. I was impressed with the brightness of this projector as advertised. 150 ANSI lumens. I took the shots at the end of the day against a projector screen I set up at home and the image is bright and clear. A fully charged battery lasted about 90 minutes with full brightness, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth enabled, USB receiver connected and HDMI source connected. It probably could have lasted the whole movie if a few things had been turned off and the brightness turned down a bit. I love the portability of this projector with built-in apps and it easily connects to many wired and wireless devices.
