Review on 🐟 Convenient and Reliable: Penn-Plax Daily Double II Battery-Operated Automatic Fish Feeder by Dan Chunn

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Reliable Faulty Fish Feeder

The Penn-Plax Daily Double II is an older version of the fish feeder. I have a total of five of these feeders for four different aquariums. They all work reliably to feed my fish. However, all the other reviewers are right about condensation getting into the feeder and ruining the food inside. In my experience, these feeders work better with pellets than flakes. If you don't have time to continue grinding the flakes, they will likely clog the hole, especially if there is condensation. I find that if I don't completely fill the feeder and allow the pellets room to roll around and "breathe" then I avoid spoiling the entire ration before it's fed to my fish! There are no timers or other fancy settings in this model. The timer just spins like a ferris wheel, feeding your fin buddies every 12 hours. For the price I paid for it Alexander Hamilton I am happy with my purchase.
