I bought these for my 6 year old son who is tall, skinny and wears an eight in boys clothes. I ordered size 7-8 but received size 6-7. I didn't get that because he said they fit great when he tried them on but after washing in cold water and drying on a very low temperature they shrank and he said they weren't that comfortable anymore. Unfortunately I cannot return the correct size as they have been washed which is a waste of $20. To be on the safe side, go up one or two sizes.
