Review on 🍷 The De-Gas Whip Wine Degasser by David Robinson

I was so excited when I received this. We finally got to the point tonight when it was time to degas our wine and thanks to The Whip Wine Degasser we may have ruined our entire winemaking process - wasted time and money. Within seconds of turning it on, plastic shavings were everywhere - mainly on the outside, but also on the inside of our Chianti bottle. however tight it was or what type of plug was used, it didn't go all the way down, which speed could compensate for, but if the speed was increased it would come off completely and never could pick up the sediment from underneath . On the drill side of the degasser, there's nothing wrong with it disappearing into the cork and bottle and being unable to be fished out. In the end, the cork had to be pryed out with pliers, and we're not sure how the little plastic flakes that ended up in the wine will end up affecting the wine. Save money, buy steel. Lesson learned!
