This was purchased to get rid of extra pine needles that fall off when you take the tree outside. There will always be needles in the area where the tree stood - but I wanted to avoid a needle trail from that area to the door! This large bag was perfect for stowing anything that lay on the side of the road while driving. The bag was big enough to hold a live tree, but the material wasn't the strongest. A few holes coming from flimsy materials didn't bother me - pines are sharp! But for the price and purpose of the product I was completely satisfied with this purchase! It really helped avoid a big houseclean!
