Review on Fintie SlimShell Case for LG G Pad 7.0 - Ultra Lightweight Cover with Auto Sleep/Wake Feature - Black by Michael Richardson

Edges cracked after a few months, magnets might fall out (updated Apr 2018)

Case cracked after 8 months (purchased April 2017) not from wear and tear but from a cheap design flaw. The right edge of plastic is torn where the two magnets (that keep the lid closed) are inserted. Eventually the magnets will fall out and then the lid won't stay closed. I mainly use this LG v-410 for a few minutes about once a week to read the internet news and I never take the tablet out of its case as it wears the edges and weakens the body. I've seen this issue with other cheap tablet cases from other poor manufacturers. I can understand plastic getting brittle after a few years of REGULAR use, but ONE TIME use after 8 months? And this is my rarely used tablet. My primary tablet, a Nexus 7 (2013) with an almost identical MoKo case released in June 2017, is not cracked or damaged. Updated review (April 2018): After using a cracked case for several months, I bought the same case again. The company never responded to my review and when Revain offered to write another review I posted another review. BENEFITS: Slim, snug fit. Low price. CONS: Lid doesn't stay closed. Cracks and flaws are aggravated by inserting and removing the tablet from the case. The gray felt inner lid collects dirt and hand grease and soils the surface. Because of the thin, snug fit, this case is likely to only survive one fall, especially if it lands at an angle (not on a flat surface).

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
