I've been using Paul Mitchell irons for years! Until my pro tool finally broke and stopped working, I bought what I thought was the exact same thing. Well it wasn't. They changed it up a bit. Looks the same, but doesn't grab and pinch hair well. However, it heats better than my old one, maybe because my old one was OLD. However, due to the problem with the shutter, it will take longer to use. Anyway I didn't send it back because honestly it's a hassle to return things. I keep it simple
