Someone gave my eldest son a pair of these a few years ago and he really liked them so I decided to give them to my youngest for his 2nd birthday. He loves her. The "best" is twofold: the joy he feels from stomping and lighting them up, and the self-sufficiency he feels from being able to put them on himself. We have bare feet at home, so we don't usually wear shoes at home, except maybe indoor shoes.
