lots of photos and videos on my laptop. So when I came across this USB (Type A) cable from Matters to Type-C, which is almost always used by all new devices after 2018. If it works it will make my life very easy. I was very excited to unbox it, it's about the size of a typical flash drive, less than 3 inches long and 1 inch wide. I immediately plugged it into one of the available USB ports on my HP laptop, after numerous attempts my new laptop did NOT recognize the device. To further verify that the USB port is working, I disabled the one that had detected my Samsung 5TB portable external drive from the laptop's device manager, but STILL no luck! Gadget but either it's defective or it just doesn't work with my new HP laptop, I can only make an assessment based on my experience - watch my video to make sure it's not recognized, portable drives usually are fine, whether 256 MB or 5 TB. like Drive-E in Windows 10, this one just didn't work at all!
