This is an amazing food dehydrator, it worked at 135C for 8 hours, made miso jerky, my house smelled like fish market π worth it! I want the shelves to last as long as possible, so I place the fish on 1/4 sheet pans. Worked great. Really intuitive to open and unfold thought I needed an engineering degree but it was very easy. Time and temperature are easy to set. Not too loud, to be honest, no louder than a running fridge, you get used to the noise and when you turn it off it becomes clear that the silence is palpable. Beep 3 times when it's done. I've only been using it for 3 days, if I remember I'll give another review in a year. worth your money. Update in 2 weeks. I have one complaint, the handles are tiny and difficult to grip. I might buy wider ones if I'm really motivated. But really, that's my only complaint. I've had this dehydrator running non-stop for basically 2 weeks. I made jerky with salmon, beef and mushrooms. Tomorrow I plan to cook venison. I chopped lemons, limes, oranges, tomatoes, sriracha, sardines, red miso, black garlic, and bell peppers. I've made instant white rice and wild rice. And SOOOOO much more. I really use it all the time, I think it's been off for 30 hours since I received it. 4 months update. Today I used it as a pancake warmer for Easter breakfast. I can only make 1 pancake at a time, so I set the dehydrator to 130Β° and keep the pancakes warm until they're done. For the first time we ate pancakes at the same time. π Multitasking product! Hey, I remembered! 1 YEAR REVIEW. Buy it. For real. Buy it. I run it every day, I always have something in it. I've used it to rise bread, make yogurt, reheat pancakes, powdered food, jerky, dog treats, fruit rolls, and tree ornaments (lime slice garland). Seriously, buy. However, I have no motivation to change the nobs even though they are still on the list. Plastic shelves are in excellent condition, not yellowed. I've washed them in the dishwasher, but I usually just rinse them out. They wash off so easily. I bought grill mats to use as dehydrator mats, they're a lot cheaper and I was able to cut them to the perfect size (bring a lighter to the edges to clean them). I was so scared I would never use this but I shocked myself to be lazy to use it more than anything else in my kitchen, buy it. I folded it back once, ONCE, it's always in use.
