The Diymall VK-172 is an OK GPS/GLONASS dongle for your laptop or tablet at a very reasonable price. The USB dongle connects painlessly to both Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.4.10. However, be aware of its limitations. If you plug the dongle in a location with marginal satellite coverage then the dongle can take up to 45 minutes to start producing location data. Once it finds enough satellites then it maintains position fairly well. Other GPS dongles tested in the same marginal coverage locations started producing data much quicker and maintained lock longer.
