First the lead screw arrived bent. I wasn't sure if the shaft bent during shipping or production, but after a few hours with my hydraulic press I was able to get it exactly how I wanted it. Then, after hooking it up to my CNC, the ball screw nut made a noise similar to the noise of a garbage chute at low RPMs of the lead screw. Looking closely at the ball nut, I found that I could easily move the nut up and down several thousand with my fingers. After disassembling the ball nut, I found that the ball bearings inside are clearly visible to the naked eye and have different diameters. I ended up ordering a new ball nut from another supplier to run my CNC.
