This item is perfect. Need something to sharpen the edge of your blades? That's it. I bought two of these mainly so I can have two of different grit/composition. The leather strip is thin, but that's not a problem. He does exactly what he is supposed to. In fact, thicker skin is really unnecessary! People complaining about this here obviously think there should be more without even thinking about using them. As for the connection, it works fine. I use a stick from Flexcut for one of them (yellow) and the green squares they sent for the other. Both work well enough.
