They mount very easily with a Phillips screwdriver. I have replaced all of the hard doorstops that were previously installed in my new home. When we bought our house I thought wow they are stiff they must be better quality than the springs in our previous house. Over the course of 6 months my little one ripped about 4 of these off the baseboard and broke baseboards at random In the hole house. I quickly realized that spring doorstops are not designed to take "shock absorption" from doors that open too hard, they are springs so they don't come loose on walls, baseboards, etc. when they inevitably hit them. The perfect solution to a situation that has spoiled finishes throughout the home.
