Very good with 5/16 diameter. Running threads and an acorn nut. If you plan to use it on a metric bike you will need an adapter or mirror modification. I installed this on my 2004 Honda Shadow Aero! Aero has a 10mm internal thread hole. I simply shrink wrapped the shank to protect the threads, popped it into the M10 threaded hole (fits in. Use a round nut and Loctite! Voila! An alternative option is to swap from an M8 socket to an M10 -Convert fork and use Loctite, but the shaft needs to be shortened!
