If you suddenly want to connect a hard drive with Win7 pre-installed and configured for you over the years of using Win7, get ready for glitches in the operation of USB ports (both 2.0 and 3.0). When you try to install the manufacturer's USB controller driver, the next time you boot your PC, you will get a blue screen of death. The only way to work around the problem is to either install a new version of Windows or reinstall Windows 7 preloading the USB3.0 drivers (instructions supplied by the motherboard manufacturer) So I had to tinker with reinstalling the OS and setting up everything-everything-everything so that everything worked as before. And the only thing that does not work as before is the speed of the PC's reaction to any of your commands (FPS jumps in games disappeared, lags disappeared while surfing the net on heavy sites - everything reacts instantly) I also hasten to note that if the new 14nm technology is not critical for you, then at the time of writing this review, you can find more productive i7 processors of the previous generation for the same or even lower price. The rest of the i5 6600 processor is great.
