Bought for small engineering projects at school where measuring distances is part of the process. It was cheaper than other more sophisticated rangefinders but still works the same way. Feels good in the hand and with the included strap you can use it almost anywhere with confidence. The bag that comes with the kit closes with a magnet, so no zippers or velcro will break. In the end, I'll probably have to shop around for gold to make the most of it, as the built-in flag finder and speed feature are pretty handy.
