I have 6 dogs. They love to get outside and run around in their fenced yard all day long. The only problem is that they rarely all want to be outside at the same time. So we played porters all day. Entry and exit, entry and exit. We have a metal exterior door that has this installed. I had several different tools for the job, but the saw was probably the most efficient. Don't expect it to look perfect. The supplied screws are relatively short, which makes assembly difficult. I would like to have either longer female screw holes or longer screws to make it easier to feed the screws into the holes. I also added silicone sealant to the outside of the dog door to keep it sealed. In general, the installation took about 1-2 hours with a few hiccups. The draft seems to be minimal. Just a small amount near the hinge and a very small amount at the bottom near the magnet. But overall, that should help a little with the air conditioning bill compared to how many times we opened and closed the door. Now all that remains is to teach everyone to use them.
