. I bought this lens for my Olympus E-PL1 before going on holiday to Disney World and Epcot recently. I used it to take handheld night shots of the fireworks over Cinderella Castle and handheld videos of the final fireworks at Epcot - both turned out amazing! Olympus lens but chose the latter mainly because of the price difference, smaller size and lighter weight and I'm glad I did. If the Panasonic is indeed superior, I highly doubt that difference will be apparent in almost all photos for all practical purposes. The Olympus lens is excellent and good value for money in my experienced photographic opinion. In summary, this is a great lens for the E-PL1, which in turn is a great digital camera too - some good deals are still available. for this camera and in combination with this wide angle lens a very good compact and light kit. I took my Canon 40D DSLR and lens kit with me on the trip but rarely took it with me and opted for the very light Olympus instead. My back and neck thanked me! I am enthusiastic about this lens and can only recommend it.
