Update 2 months later: Great Light works on our helmets so we have upgraded our front forks.

New review after 2 months: We liked the helmets we added to our helmets so much that we bought two more for the front fork. They are really bright but have variable settings and the charge easily lasts 4 dark hours every weekend and then recharges in about 15 minutes. No problem if they fall or need a safety leash. Reviews. The elastic strap is durable and the rubber pads on the back of the light keep it from slipping off our tapered forks, even on the roughest roads and trails. The bad news is that the micro charge port is covered by a tiny rubber button attached to a thin and easy to tear gasket that seals the light. We already broke one, and now just cover the connector with a small piece of tape so there are no problems. It would be nice if they also sell replacement gaskets/port covers as they are easily accessible with 2 small screws. We recommend them to friends and will buy more for the back of our bikes when our much more expensive ones die. As a professional product designer, I would give him 5 stars if he designed the tabs where you attach the elastic to have a slot behind them for a velcro strap, or they had a hole in the frame to attach a tether. When I add them to our helmets I want to point them at us from our front forks so we can be seen more from the side. All modern forks seem to be tapered downwards and I'm a little concerned that they will slip and fall so stay tuned for updates on that.

Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
