This makes a huge difference to stability, if you don't connect/disconnect your devices at all this might work for you. But without that screw to attach to the outlet, this surge protector often went out with your devices when you unplug your devices. The workaround is to use two hands to turn off and one hand to hold the surge protector. However, you'll have to decide if the screw and hole are worth the extra $5 or so. It's great, and its relatively slim shape is nice too, less bulky than the others.
