I recently bought an old 1996 Honda Civic DX as a top end retainer and one of the first things I did was flush and prime the transmission several times. I found that the original probe was no longer a tight fit to the pipe (extremely lost) and was unable to find a replacement anywhere. I noticed on the Civic forums that someone said that the dipstick fits perfectly on newer models (2001-2005). I was skeptical, and even though Revane yelled that this part wasn't for my '96, I bought it anyway. FITS PERFECTLY. The connector and the end of the probe itself are exactly the same length. The finger loop handle is slightly longer than the original, but no problem. If you're paranoid, which I usually am, you can buy parts from a Honda dealer, but I got lucky with this one.
