We had one growing up and there wasn't a jar that this tool couldn't open. Same goes for these. It fits any can lid up to 4.5 inches wide and has a soft touch (a comfort our old bottle opener didn't have). This is a must have for anyone with grip strength issues and honestly anyone who has ever had trouble opening a tightly sealed can. If you've only ever used those thin round pins that you hold in your hand for a better grip, you'll be surprised. It's MUCH easier and I've never had a crash. Why four stars? Nostalgia. The Swing-A-Way we grew up with seemed more solid. This one is lighter and, like most things made these days, feels cheaper in comparison. I highly recommend it though and have been using this new one for a month with no problems. I would buy it again without hesitation. This can be a good gift for the elderly or those with clutch problems.
