I like my CR-10S. I've made a number of other improvements and it prints great. But it was pretty loud and made some pretty horrible whining noises as it moved over some of the prints. This seems to be a problem with some standard steppers. I could probably try to replace them under warranty, but it's been a year now and I've modified them heavily. These steppers are slightly smaller than the standard steppers, but are used and connected as usual. So far they're much quieter overall and have taken away the whining that was driving me and my wife crazy. They seem to work at normal temperatures and the same vrefs I already have set up on the machine. If I don't have any problems in the future, this is a great $30 X/Y axis upgrade.
