Everyone who paints at ColorIT Books knows that their paper, their illustrations and the general subjects they choose are different from others. You won't be disappointed with their latest release, TROPICAL SCENES. While you can make each image your own by choosing the color scheme you want to follow, I personally find it enjoyable to "let go" and sort of paint from the lines. I use non-traditional colors for some aspects like the straw hat, but then settled on blue and gray for the passport. You can then couple that with an overall color scheme here and there and these illustrations do just that. ColorIT always has neat layouts and I love that you use a variety of mediums like a mix of crayons, markers and gel pens and get great results be able. Personally, we only had crayons when I was a kid, and now that we're adults it's great that we also have access to these other tools to create really deep artwork. While I'm obviously still learning how to successfully work with these great books, it's nice to be able to open one of the ColorIt books, choose my page and lose myself in it. This new addition to the series is packed with resolutely tropical scenes including marine life, plants and flowers, as well as some fun surprises including an amazing butterfly that will make for my next colorful, relaxing day. I really feel if you compare the ColorIt books at $19.99 for 50 original hand drawn drawings, that's really a great deal.
