Difficult to cut cleanly. The blade tears when trying to cut in hard-to-reach places and when I tried to use the new Exacto knife I could barely get through the material. It compresses well, but I wouldn't use a colored pencil. The side you are stroking doesn't feel or look as smooth. And as other reviewers have pointed out, there are no instructions. So I followed the other product's oven settings and everything seemed to work. After shrinking, they are about an eighth of an inch thick.
