Enhanced Reception

I bought this to use with a scanner at home. I used the standard telescopic antenna attached to the unit. I installed this antenna in the top corner of a window on the east side of my house where I usually sit. This significantly improved reception. I'm sure if it was convenient to mount it on a west facing window it would be even better because the repeaters are west facing. But for a simple, inexpensive boost, it works very well.

* Flexibility, can be installed horizontally or vertically!
