It's better than I hoped.

UPDATE: 4/18/21 So quick update, I noticed after about a week of using this mouse that the foam started to crack where I was leaning on the mouse. If you plan on using it on something that rubs a lot, you'll need something to protect the foam from wear and tear. If I were to keep the mouse I would use a clear coat like the Flex Seal Clear Coat or the Through the Roof Clear Coat. But unfortunately the mouse had other issues that just couldn't be fixed, so I had to send it back. But the good news was that the neoprene foam peeled off easily, leaving no residue or adhesive. Let's go back to the original review. he leaned on a pillow and the lid broke. This almost eliminates both problems. For those who have had problems with glue either not sticking or sticking too much. Here's what I learned. Within the first 20-30 minutes I was able to take it off, move it around and stick it back on. But if you let it sit for more than 30 minutes with some pressure, I can't take it off without breaking the foam. This mouse had some inverted curves as well as some creases and creases. The only place I found it a little looser was on the reverse curve. However, this can easily be corrected with a small amount of contact cement. I found others complaining that it tears too easily. I purposely worked hard on it just to see how much it would stretch and didn't find it torn beyond what is considered a 'normal' operating load. Take a piece and stretch it until it breaks so you know how much it can hold before using it in your project. But be careful if you need to stretch it or pull it in turns. Even if he does this normally, after about a week he will start cracking in those places. So this foam isn't really designed for hard bending or stretching. I was able to pull the bottom edges and stretch it a bit in a few places without tearing it. It wasn't too stretchy and very easy to work with in my opinion. I would have guessed it wouldn't stick if it got hot somewhere, but it worked almost perfectly for my project. Time will tell how long this lasts. As it turned out, not very long for my application.
