Review on Eyeglass Frame Grips Hinge Tighteners Pack by Karen Mabey

Great job though. . .SOAK IN HOT WATER FIRST

These tensioners will work, but there is one caveat to be aware of. They are very difficult to put on when you have a Rayban like me. I have new Rayban Wayfarer sunglasses. If it weren't for the Brother in Christ review, I would have given up and used rubber bands. The secret is: Soak in hot water for at least 10 minutes first. Do not boil the water, but make it as hot as possible from the tap, pour into a small bowl and cover with a lid. Wait about 10 minutes and you will be surprised at how pliable they are. I had to loop them over the thick part of the Wayfarer stem but once I got them through they went right into the loop. When placing them, hold the bar away from your body and pull the tensioner along the bar. Beside hot water you need some patience but believe me if I can hang it by a loop then so can you. Another caveat, you'll probably have to put 2 on each side. I had to because the wayfarer is a little loose. But 2 on each side did their job. Another good thing is that they are firm and unlikely to be softening and loosening anytime soon. So far I haven't had any problems with my glasses slipping off my nose. They hold in place and give me good sun protection. I highly recommend them but don't forget the hot water!
