Terrible instructions!

I really can't rate a real spray because I have no idea if it will sanitize my screen or not but it comes with different instructions on the bottle and wipe. It is said to spray the cloth and wipe the phone. Dry the other side and the bottle says turn off the phone, spray or wipe and leave wet for 10 minutes, then wipe dry. So what is it? If I don't wait 10 minutes, doesn't it work? Why isn't it clear? I shouldn't waste time looking for an answer.
