Review on AFe Power Silver 46 32005 Throttle by Ralph Foster

Very happy with this purchase. There's so much hype on TBS, both positive and negative, that it's hard to know what to expect. The instructions are quite simple, as is the installation process. Below are my notes on what I noticed, as well as how the unit was installed (see images): *No setup required, just add screws. * When installing gasket, AIR-IN side or serrated lugs. should be pointing up - the end of the filament is pointing down.* The whistling only occurs under heavy acceleration.* I don't hear the whistling at all during normal acceleration and normal driving.* You need an 8mm socket for the propeller.* If If you have an aftermarket air intake you will need to disassemble and reinstall it as the alignment changes a bit once the TB is raised.* I didn't have to adjust or modify the engine cover to adjust the TBS.* Acceleration seems a little smoother especially when passing shift points.* Over the course of three days of driving my average mpg went from 20.9 to 22.1 with 87 octane - beyond that this average varies (West Virginia).
