Sturdy but inconvenient for traveling DJ

So this equipment stand has a solid construction but it is not a good product for a traveling DJ. I'm sorry I didn't spend the extra $50-$100 on a top-of-the-line foldable stand, but the Odyssey was on budget and had good reviews, so I ended up using it as a portable laptop stand for my DJ gigs . This shit is FUCKING HEAVY, my gear doubled it's normal weight. Also, you have to take it apart and rebuild it for each performance, which takes about 5 minutes each time and can be tricky with those quick scene changes with no table seating, poor lighting, and assholes spilling drinks on you backstage. . stand as you try to turn the nuts and bolts under other DJs' feet. And when I traveled with this in my gear bag, all the different pieces were very awkward to pack, they often knocked over my other gear and I had to upgrade to a larger gig bag to fit it. If you're going to leave it set up for home use then I say go for it. However, if you are a traveling artist, pay extra money for a quick change stand.
