I used mats to make caramel. They are heat resistant up to 400Β°F so I was able to pour the hot caramel mixture directly onto the mat. When it came time to take out the candy, it came off the mat perfectly and didn't stick at all. I didn't feel any strange smells or tastes after using it either. Cleaning and storage are easy, and the measurements on the sides of the mats are helpful. I washed my hands with dish soap and let them air dry. Both mats were the same size and fit perfectly on my standard size baking sheet.
