So I only have snails and 1 pea sized piano snail. I don't have any fish so I didn't have to worry about fish getting caught in the nets. However, small snails don't seem to move very well in the web? I like that they have a lot of water circulation but they all seem to have trouble moving. I also noticed that about 10 or 15 fell out of the brood web when they first hatched. This is my first attempt at hatching baby snails, so maybe it has nothing to do with mesh? However, babies in a real aquarium move around a lot more. I think next time I'll try an acrylic reproduction box. UPDATE 3/17/21 All my little snails are dead! You could NOT move on the grid. I would NEVER use this for small shrimp or snails. It costs a lot. THIS IS VERY VERY flimsy! I have new batches of babies, I've put them in an acrylic box and they're doing great!
