Great minimalist backpack for ski resorts

I ski almost exclusively front side slopes and need a small pack for a few essentials like lunch, snacks, H2O, energy bars. , glasses, etc. with free space. If you follow the same philosophy, this package will more than meet your expectations. The profile was no less important. Because it's only about 4-5 inches deep, it hugs your back and won't throw you off balance as you go down the slope. Also when you get on the chairlift you don't feel like you are being pushed around. Plenty of straps to keep you from dangling on your back. I preferred to carry the backpack without attaching the hip belt. Snapping and then tying the extra strap together worked best for me. This saved the belt but was still very comfortable. This allowed him complete freedom of movement. The shoulder straps are very comfortable and more than enough to hold the backpack in place. For extra protection and/or comfort you can buckle the chest strap for a perfect fit. Overall very happy with this package. I chose black. Stylistically, black goes with everything! In summary, the Dakine Heli Pack12 liters is a very versatile, well-made backpack that also looks great. Highly recommended.
