Almost cool. big mistake (please note)

This is what I've been waiting for as everything is moving to USB-C. A tiny wall charger that I can pair with my Anker cables and other products with retractable pins. It worked great on the products I originally tried (B+W headphones, Google Pixel 3). But then I spent a lot of time troubleshooting (replacing devices, cables, etc.) before finally realizing that this product would NOT charge Anker's own USB-C portable battery (Anker PowerCore 10000 PD). At first it will work, the blue lights on the PowerCore are blinking, but after several attempts (5 hours each) I found that the PowerCore battery was not getting any power. So Anker didn't really bother testing their latest products together. This is usually the case when I return a product and leave a 2-3 star rating. So why am I only deducting 1 star? Well, I read other reviews about how good Anker's customer service is and gave them a call. Of course, they can't change the reality that this doesn't weigh down other Anker products, but they definitely did a great job. First, they immediately acknowledged that there was a compatibility issue with their USB-C products, and second, they offered to send me another model that appears to be much larger but works with PowerCore. It's rare these days for companies to just "get it right". Whenever Anker releases a product like this that charges its own batteries via USB C and ideally has 2 or 3 USB C ports, I'll be the first to buy. However, this product is a partial failure.

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
