The highest praise for this product. I have a compact broadband security router (Ubiquiti USG) that is housed in a 5 inch chassis. x 5 inches. Metal, but fanless, case and gets quite warm. I made a heatsink out of 2" wide aluminum rod to bolt to the wall mount lugs on the back of the case. Since I needed some sort of intermediate heat exchanger I thought of radiator grease but thought it would make a big mess. So I bought this silicone thermal interface material and pressed 2 sheets of it (so 2 x 4") between the case back and the aluminum bar. The bar was then separated from my backboard with posts. I wasn't expecting much success, but it works so well. The router used to feel almost uncomfortable, but now it's at room temperature. In terms of ease of use and in terms of efficiency, this thermal silicone product is the best.Potential buyers, don't hesitate about the lack of adhesive because a sticky surface is what it is exactly what you need.
