Fan Control Switch is Broken

I purchased this unit to replace my broken HVAC switch as the cost of replacing an HVAC switch or the entire unit is about the same. However, the fan control switch only works at low and high speeds. I've already had to change the fan control switch, this will be the third time, not quite a quality product.
