Review on Enhance Audio Performance with Dayton Audio DSS3-BC Black Chrome Speaker Spike Set 4 Pcs. by Alex Foley

Like most people, I read a lot of reviews about different types and brands of speaker spikes. I needed spikes for my front floorstanding speakers that are placed on a carpeted floor. What I needed were spikes long enough to pierce the carpet and get to the base (cement, wood, etc.). The DSS3-BC are machined from solid chrome steel with a black tint and chrome finish. I had to pre-drill the speaker stands (made of MDF and 17.5" tall) to insert an insert so the spikes could be screwed into the wooden speaker stands. It helps to put some candle or box wax on the threads of the wood inserts, this makes it easier for the metal threads to cut through the wood. I recommend these spikes to everyone!
