First, it is positioned as compatible with LGA 1200 motherboards. It is a coincidence, but not a design. There are no instructions for installing this cooler on an LGA 1200 system. There are no videos on YouTube showing how to mount this cooler on an LGA 1200 system (at least I couldn't find any around January 2021). Mounting holes match but not perfectly ie 3 out of 4 holes for one socket type and another hole for another socket. I ended up installing it, but only by playing with it, and it was the biggest CPU cooler installation job I've ever had. Again, other chillers I have installed were for their specific boards and were not purchased from Revain because the seller just said they were compatible when really they are not. Here's the thing. It just doesn't work that well. On the MSI Z490 board with i7 10700kf at 4.8GHz, the temperature under load is 75-80°C. The room temperature is 21 °C. In the BIOS, all fans are set to maximum (3120 on the CPU cooler, another 3120 on the case) and the BIOS control reports that the CPU pump is running at maximum. I expected more from this product.
